3. Explanation of the operation devices
3-9-2 Manual purge control

(T218341-017-0E)

(1) Manual purging requested

If automatic purging is not ﬁnished within 8 hours

(with the engine running), the warning alarm beeps and manual

purging is requested.

The following message is displayed while manual purging is requested.

(2) Start manual purging.

Move the machine to a safe location and move the safety lock lever to the lock position.

Due to the increased exhaust pipe temperatures after starting manual purging, make sure there is

nothing ﬂammable near the exhaust pipe outlet.

Perform screen operations according to the following procedure.

The following message is displayed during manual purging.

During manual purging, the engine speed is ﬁxed at a medium speed regardless of the accelerator dial position.

Manual purging takes about 16 minutes to ﬁnish.

(Note: Purging time may vary depending on the external air

temperature and other factors.)

・

If the engine water temperature or hydraulic oil temperature is low, the engine will

automatically warm itself up by ﬁxing the engine speed at a high speed.

If the engine warms up automatically, it will take longer to ﬁnish purging.

・

Operating a control lever will cancel manual purging and display the "MANUAL PURGE

REQUESTED" message again.

When manual purging is finished, the message will disappear, and the engine speed will return to the speed

corresponding to the accelerator dial position.
