7. Monitor

(18) Wiper switch

The wiper switch operates the front window wiper.

Each press of the wiper switch changes the wiper operating mode in the sequence OFF

→

Intermittent 1

→

Intermittent 2

→

Continuous

→

OFF.

The wiper action changes depending on the wiper operating mode.

Intermittent 1 wiper mode: Wipes the window once every 3.5 seconds.

Intermittent 2 wiper mode: Wipes the window once every 1.5 seconds.

Continuous wiper mode: Wipes the window continuously.

OFF wiper mode: Stops wiping the window.

NOTE

Wiper actions are disabled when the front window is open.
If the window is accidentally opened while the wiper is operating, the wiper will stop. To resume wiper
operation, close the front window and press the wiper switch again.

If you work the wiper while the front window is dry, muddy, or frosted, the wiper could be
damaged and the fuse might blow.

(19) Washer switch

Washer ﬂuid is sprayed onto the front window and the wiper operates continuously as long as the washer switch is

pressed.

The wiper will continue to wipe a few times after the switch is released.

・

Always make sure the front window is shut before you use the washer. Washer actions are

disabled when the front window is open.

・

Always check that there is enough ﬂuid in the washer tank. If you press the washer switch

while the tank is empty or continue to hold the switch down for a long period, you could cause

the pump to break down, so reﬁll the tank before it becomes empty.
