3. Lubrication
3-4-1 Swing gear (tooth surface) greasing procedure

(T218601-018-0E)

(1) Check the condition of the teeth and the grease through the inspection window.

(2)

If the grease is insuﬃcient, grease the entire swing gear through the grease nipple for greasing the swing gear tooth

surface while turning the upper structure. Use bearing grease (EG).

When swinging the upper structure, check that there are no obstructions nearby.

Approx. 0.5 L of Showa Shell Sekiyu Alvania EP Grease 2 is supplied at the factory.
For topping up or changing of grease, use the equivalent of the above grease.

After delivery of a new machine, grease should be injected after 250 hours of operation.

NOTE

Inject grease until it is discharged from the air relief nipple.
However, do not inject more than the initial volume, even if no grease is discharged.
