2) Working on inclined ground

・

The greatest risk when working on inclined ground is losing

balance and tipping over while swinging. Swinging on a slope
with the bucket filled with earth toward the down slope
increases this risk considerably.

・

If there is no alternative to working on a slope, use

embankment to make the working position as level as
possible.

3) Prohibition of dangerous operations

・

Undercutting cliﬀs is dangerous because it causes earth to fall.

・

Do not dig so deeply that the machine is undercut. This makes

the ground unstable and risks the machine falling.

4) Keeping adequate visibility

・

When working in dark places, switch on the working lamps

and place further illumination where necessary.

・

When visibility is bad due to fog, snow, rain or other

conditions, stop work and do not start again until conditions
have cleared enough to no longer reduce visibility.

5) Ground near the dug ditches or on the top of embankments is

unstable and the machine may tilt due to the combination of
its weight and vibration.
