6-1-1 Preparations for operation

(01E0-0157-0E)

  (1) Go through the preoperational checks (checks before starting the engine) with the engine stopped.
  (2) Check that everything is secure around the operator's seat.
  (3) Sit in the operator's seat and lock the console lock lever.
  (4) Adjust the operator's seat if necessary and fasten your seatbelt.
  (5) Check that each control lever is in the neutral position and that the safety lock lever is in the lock position.

6-1-2 Engine start procedure

If the battery is ﬂat and cannot start the engine unaided, use the booster cables to start the

engine referring to "How to start the engine using the booster cables" in the section "Inspection

and servicing". Recharge the ﬂat battery before using it again.

・

If the safety lock lever is in the release position, you cannot start the engine.

・

If the message "ENG. EMERGENCY STOPPED" appears on the display, press the normal

side of the emergency stop switch.

(1) Insert the key into the starter switch and turn it to the "ON" position. A buzzer sounds and the APC system begins

its self-diagnostic check.

If, after the self-diagnostic check, there are any items other than "CHECK SEATBELT." and
"CHECK SAFETY LEVER." remaining on the display, suspend the engine start and investigate
the cause before restarting the engine start operation.
