4. Precautions on handling a new machine

(2) Pivot turn

This method changes direction by moving only one track shoe.

Use either of the left and right traveling control levers (or pedals).

(3) Spin turn
This method changes direction on the spot by moving both track

shoes simultaneously but in opposite directions.

Operate one traveling control lever (or pedal) for forward motion

and the other for reverse at the same time.

Come to a stop momentarily before beginning a spin turn.

(1) When traveling, always try to steer in the largest possible curves. Avoid rapid spin and pivot turns and similar

maneuvers because they have adverse eﬀects on the rollers, track links and the frame etc. In narrow places or

rocky ground make many tacks to complete maneuvers.

(2) When traveling over long distances, do not travel at the machine's

own power as possible as you can.

If you travel (under the machine's own power) continuously for

long periods, the oil temperature in the reduction gears becomes
abnormally high, which can cause damage to the motors.
