4. Inspection and servicing of each part

5) Remove the element and drain plug.
6) Remove the O-ring. Then, clean the surface of the cover

assembly on which the O-ring abuts and O-ring groove in the
case.

7) Replace the O-ring with a new one.

Apply a thin coat of engine oil to the new O-ring and fit the

O-ring to the case.

Use the O-ring provided with the new ﬁlter element.

8) Install a new "genuine element" from KATO, with the hole facing upward.

Be careful not to damage the O-ring by twisting it when installing the ﬁlter case.

・

Do not reuse the ﬁlter element.
