2.4.2 Relay Output
The GT-H type trip units are equipped with Relay
outputs. Output one is assigned to the RELT
function (Reduced Energy Let Through function )
whilst the others can be assigned to the
following functions :
- - Ground Fault Alarm event
- - Overcurrent Trip Event.
- - Protective Relaying
- - Current Alarm/Load Shedding
-- Health Status
- - Ground Fault Trip event
On the E versions of both Trip Unit types the RELT
function can be disabled. Thus also allowing the
assignment of output one to the functions
indicated above.
The outputs are connected via specifically
assigned points on the standard terminal block
fitted on the circuit breaker top.
Each option can be assigned individually or in a
group by the use of numbers on the LCD screen
as indicated in the table.
When set to option 8, 9 or 11 and a fault to
earth higher than the set current values is
detected for a period longer than the set timing
the breaker will trip and the contact will close.
(Only operates when a 24V DC power supply is
connected)
The breakers Input 1 or 2 can be used to reset
the relay contacts.
2.4.3 Relay Input
The GT-H type trip units are equipped with
assignable inputs that allow for three main
functionalities.
- - Reduced Energy Let Through function
(RELT)
- - Trip the Breaker
- - Reset the Relay output contacts
In the standard GT-H trip unit types Input one is
assigned to the RELT function (Reduced Energy
Let Through function ) whilst the second can be
assigned as indicated in the table.
On the E versions of both Trip Unit types the RELT
function can be disabled. Thus also allowing the
assignment of output one to the functions
indicated above.
The outputs are connected via specifically
assigned points on the standard terminal block
fitted on the circuit breaker top.
