messages. The value that is set is not retained after a power cycle.

AT+CGSMS=[<service>]

[Response/Action]

Read

[Function]

The Read command displays the current SMS service preference setting.

[Syntax]

AT+CGSMS?

[Response/Action]

+CGSMS: <service>

Test

[Function]

The Test command displays a list of currently available <service>s on the network.

[Syntax]

AT+CGSMS=?

[Response/Action]

+CGSMS: (list of currently available<service>s)

Parameters

Indicates the service or service preference to be used.

0 GPRS

1 Circuit switched (default)

2 GPRS preferred (use circuit switched if GPRS is not available)
