To manually force the transfer of data from one line to the other, follow these steps:

3. Press the Escape button two times to return to the Configure Spare submenu.
If you select the Force A or Force B option, the ISX 5312/5314’s Test LED lights to
indicate that a test is in progress. To terminate the test and turn off the LED, press the
button beneath

or use the RTN (Return to Normal) function as described in the
“RTN Function” section in Chapter 6.
When the Revertive Mode parameter is enabled, the ISX 5312/5314 switches back to the
primary line from the spare line if the primary line has been in a good state for the
amount of time selected under the Restoral Timer parameter. When this parameter is
disabled, the ISX 5312/5314 does not switch back to the primary line unless a failure
occurs on the spare line and the primary line is in a good state.
To enable the Revertive Mode parameter, follow these steps:
Note: When management is via SNMP, you must set the Mode parameter to disabled
before you can enable this parameter.
