Establishing the Telnet Logon Sequence
For security purposes, access from Telnet is protected by a user-configurable logon
sequence consisting of a user identifier and a password. A Telnet session is established
only if the logon entries match the user identifier and password stored in the non-volatile
database of the ISX 5312/5314. The ISX 5312/5314 supports only one user identifier
and one password. By entering commands from the ISX 5312/5314’s front panel, you
can enter the user identifier and password required for access from Telnet. You can also
specify the amount of time a Telnet session can remain inactive before it is automatically
terminated by the ISX 5312/5314. The following sections explain how to perform each
of these procedures.
