The top line of the display shows, from left to right, two fields, that indicate the
following:
• 01 (first field) - indicates the DS1a DS0 channel number to be assigned.
The available options are
01
through
24
.

None
(second field) - indicates the DTE to which you are assigning the
DS1a DS0 channel number. The available options are
None
and
DTE1
.
If the DS1a DS0 channel number has already been assigned to a DTE or to
a DS1 line, the current assignment is displayed in this field. Possible
displays are
DTE2 , DTE3 , DTE4 , DS1a , and DS1b . In this case, the front
panel will not allow you to scroll to this field. If you want to change the
channel assignment, you must first unassign the channel by selecting
None .
For example, if
DTE2
is displayed, you must first go to the DTE 2
Connection submenu and select
None
for DS1a DS0 channel number 01
before you can assign this channel to DTE 1.
6. To increase the first digit, press the 1 button; to decrease it, press the 2 button.
Press the < and > buttons to move from space to space.

7. When the desired assignment is displayed, press the button beneath
Acc

8. Press the < button and repeat Steps 6 and 7 if you want to define additional
channel assignments. When all the desired assignments have been defined, press
the
Escape button.
