Line Build-Out

The Line Build-Out parameter specifies the transmit level attenuation of the ISX
5312/5314.  The available options are 

0 db

, 

7.5 db

, 

15 db

, 

22.5 d

 (db).

Note:

  The proper ISX 5312/5314 transmit level will be provided by your telephone

company at the time of installation.  Adjustments exceeding this level are prohibited and
will violate the FCC Part 68 registration.

Channel

The Channel parameters specify the T-1 line channel assignments and signal allocation.
These parameters appear on the screen only for units equipped with two T-1 line
interfaces.  To define the line channel assignments, follow these steps, starting from the
Configuration Mode submenu:

Note:

  When the APC or Hot Spare feature is enabled, the ISX 5312/5314 will not allow

you to change the channel assignment or signal allocation parameter settings on the
DS1b line.
