Defining Operating Parameters

Notes:

When the ISX 5312/5314 is managed via T7, once the unit sends an alarm to the

CMS 400 network management system, further reporting of the alarm condition is
inhibited even if the alarm condition clears and is redeclared. A Return to Normal
(RTN) function must be performed from the front panel or from the CMS 400 system
console to rearm the alarm.

When the ISX 5312/5314 is managed via SNMP, the latching method (first-time-only
trap reporting) is used for the CSS, ES, BPV, and LOS alarms. The unit must be
rebooted or a RTN function must be performed from the front panel or from the
rd5312/5314Rtn MIB object before another trap can be sent.

Factory Submenu

The Factory submenu allows you to replace the current parameter configuration with the
factory default settings. Press the button beneath

DLoad

. Data is interrupted while the

unit is reset and reinitialized.

Note:

If you initiate a factory download, communication with the T7 or SNMP manager

may be lost due to changes in the T7 or SNMP parameter settings, respectively.

User Strap Submenu

The User Strap submenu allows you to view the user parameter configuration. It also
allows you to update the user configuration with the current configuration or download
to the user configuration.

To view the user parameter configuration, follow these steps, starting from the
Configuration menu:
