12.7.1 Networks
Within the tree view, selecting any Network will allow you to edit its properties and
view the listed panels. Networks have the following properties available: -
•
Name - This is the name of the network and is used purely with xDetectWorks
and the PC monitoring and Graphics software.
•
Site Address - By default this will be the same as the details set in the Site
properties, but for multi-network sites, you may want to customise this address
and contact information per network.
12.7.2 Panels
Within the tree view, selecting any panel will allow you to edit its properties.
Almost all configuration for each panel is managed by the individual modules.
However, each panel has the following properties available: -
•
name
- This is the panel text that will be stored in each panel. The text will usually
be captured in logs and so should be used to identify the panels location or
purpose in the system.
•
address
- This is the address of the panel within the network, which is a unique
value per network.
•
Investigation timers
– These configure the Investigation Timers and their
behaviours, which are also often referred to as T1/T2. By setting the T1 value to 0,
this effectively disables the feature.
•
enable Day/night mode
– Enabling this option activates the Day/Night feature
of the panel. The Scheduler allows you to automate the switching of Day or Night
mode at specific times. If the Scheduler is disabled, you can instead configure
some inputs to modify the Day/Night mode, which allows manual control of the
Day or Night state.
•
latching
– This programs the latching behaviour of the panel of specific
event types.
•
loop Calculator
– These properties allow you to configure the currently installed
battery and also specify the requirements for when the panel runs on battery
mode. All these values are factored into the panel and loop calculation results that
provide a guide on how you can expect the panel to perform.
