Appendix H: Replacing the Hard Drive
Formatting the Hard Drive
To format the hard disk:
1. Press the
button to open the Main Menu.
2. Select
and press the
button.
3. Select
HDD
and press the
button.
4. From the HDD menu, press the
button to open the HDD Initialize screen.
5. Select
YES
and press the
button. [Select
NO
and press the
button to cancel, or the
button.] The system formats the hard disk, erasing all recorded video data. System
settings and configurations remain intact. After a few moments the system returns to the
HDD menu.
NOTE:
Do not turn off the system while the HDD is formatting.
6. Press the
button on the remote control until you see the Save/Exit screen. Select
SAVE
ONLY
or
SAVE AND EXIT
to save your settings.
ATTENTION
: Initializing (formatting) the HDD erases
all data
on the hard disk.
This step cannot be undone
