telephone channel, the field shows “Ring” in red letters on a white background any
time an incoming telephone call is received.
If the channel supports “Channel Check” instant recall recording, the field shows
the status of the recall recorder if no call is being received. The following examples
illustrate the various types of statuses that are displayed:

Monitor Indication:
This field displays “MON” when a CTCSS channel is
unsquelched through the use of the Monitor or Instant Monitor buttons (screen or
audio panel). Transmitting on this channel removes the monitor condition.
For EDACS channels, a white antenna icon appears when transmitting on the
channel, and a yellow key indicates the EDACS radio is in Private mode.

ANI ID:
When the channel receives ANI signaling, the ANI alias or the ANI digits
display in this field. If more than one ANI is pending on this channel, and the
console is programmed for reverse selective calling (RSC), the ANI identification
is highlighted with a blinking “bullet” at the right side of the field. You can use the
“Review ANI” button to review all pending or queued ANI codes.
If the channel is programmed for PTT ID type ANI, the ANI alias or ANI digits are
temporarily displayed. You can use the “Review ANI” to review all queued ANI
codes.
For EDACS channels, this field displays the system.

(Conventional) Selected Freq:
For conventional radio channels with a multiple
frequency transmitter and/or receiver, this field displays a 3- to 10-character label
for the selected frequency (typically F1, F2, etc.). Refer to
for information about selecting a channel frequency.
(EDACS) User ID:
For EDACS trunked channels, the field displays the selected
individual or group ID.

(Conventional) Selected PL or DVP Coded/Clear:
For channels with multiple
PL, the field shows a 3- to 7-character label indicating the selected PL. For
channels with Coded Speech Control enabled, the field shows the label indicating
Coded or Clear.

(Conventional) Repeater/Main-Standby/Telephone Status:
For channels with
a multistate repeater, the field shows the state of the repeater.
If the channel is configured to use the “main/standby” output of the channel card,
the field displays “MAIN” or “STBY”.
For telephone channels, the field shows “TEL” if the telephone is connected (off
hook). The field is blank when the telephone is disconnected (on hook).
