Repeat On/Off (RPT ON/RPT OFF)
Pressing the
REPEAT ON/OFF
button causes the repeater function at the base station to
be disabled. While disabled, the red LED is illuminated. Pressing the button again causes
the channel’s repeat function to be enabled. While enabled, the green LED is illuminated.
Changing this may cause the indicators at other consoles to change also.
Coded/Clear (CODED/CLEAR)
Pressing the
CODED/CLEAR
button causes the voice scrambler at the base station to be
disabled (clear). While disabled, the red LED is illuminated. Pressing the button again
causes the channel’s voice scrambler to be enabled (coded). While enabled, the green LED
is illuminated. Changing this may cause the indicators at other consoles to change also.
Self Repeat (SELF RPT)
Pressing the
SELF REPEAT
button causes the console to enable the repeat patch between
the base stations receiver and its transmitter. While enabled, the red LED is illuminated.
Pressing the button again causes the channel’s repeat patch to be disabled. While disabled,
the LED is extinguished. Changing this causes the indicators at other consoles to change
also.
Second Receiver On/Off (R2 ON/R2 OFF)
Pressing the
SECOND RECEIVER ON/OFF
button causes the console to mute the base
station’s second receiver. While muted (off) the red LED of this button is illuminated.
Pressing the button again causes the second receiver to unmute. While unmuted (on) the
green LED of this button is illuminated. Changing this may cause the indicators at other
consoles to change also.
ANI Source (ANI SOURCE)
These indicators are used to identify the source of ANI information on systems equipped
with the ANI option. The red LED indicator illuminates when an ANI has been received
on this channel. If the ANI currently displayed on the console is from this channel, the
green LED indicator is illuminated. When all pending ANIs from this channel have been
reviewed using the
ANI REVIEW
button, the red indicator extinguishes.
Wild Card On/Off (WC ON/WC OFF)
This function allows remote control of miscellaneous equipment at the base station site.
This is often used to turn on or off generators, beacons, and similar on site equipment.
Usually, the label of such buttons reflects the equipment it controls.
On Hook / Off Hook (ON HOOK/OFF HOOK)
This button is found on telephone line channels only. It is used to connect and disconnect
the telephone line. While connected (off hook), the red LED is illuminated. While
