Operating IntegratorRD Workstations
140
Radio Enable/Disable
A field radio may be disabled by the dispatcher. In this case, the field radio is blocked
from making any voice or data calls. The radio may also be re-enabled. To perform a
Radio Disable or Enable, select a channel if the destination radio is not configured with a
revert channel. Enter the destination radio ID (either by pressing/selecting a Subscriber ID
button or by manually entering the ID), then press the
Radio Disable
or
Radio Enable
button. A message indicating success or failure of the operation is displayed in the channel
box. (Example: “Disable OK” or “Enable Fail”). Access to this button requires UMS
IntegratorRD MDC-1200 permission.
If the destination radio ID is listed in the Subscriber List window, its status is updated to
“In Service” if enabled, “Disabled” if disabled or “Disabled?” if an attempt was made to
disable a radio that did not respond.
Remote Monitor Enable/Disable
A field radio may be remotely monitored by the dispatcher. First select a channel if the
destination radio is not configured with a revert channel; enter the destination radio ID
(either by pressing/selecting a Subscriber ID button or by manually entering the ID), then
press
Radio Monitr Disabl
or
Radio Monitr Enable.
A message indicating success or
failure of the operation displays in the channel box (i.e., “Enable OK” or “Disable Fail”).
Access to this button requires UMS IntegratorRD MDC-1200 permission.
If the destination radio ID is listed in the Subscriber List window, its status is updated to
“In Service” if the monitor is disabled or “Rmt Mntr” if the monitor is enabled.
Emergency Alert
You may declare an emergency on a selected channel or on an emergency revert channel
configured using RDPS. When sending an emergency call, the channel box displays a
flashing red “Emergency” banner. The emergency indication is cleared when an
emergency acknowledge is received.
RDPS can also be used to configure the emergency alert to functions silently. If the
Emergency Mode is programmed for silent operation, the emergency alert is still sent but
no indication is presented to the operator.
Emergency Acknowledge
You may send an emergency acknowledgment to a radio that has declared an emergency
to indicate that the dispatcher is aware of the emergency. Pressing the
Emerg Ack
button
acknowledges the last unacknowledged emergency call received. If the acknowledgment
is successful, the channel box displays “Msg OK.” If it fails, “Msg Fail” is displayed.
