MAP27 Operation From The Audio Panel
Basic calling is available from the Audio Panel, using the programmable buttons and
keypad. The front of the Audio Panel is shown in
Figure 49: MAP27 Audio Panel Entry
In order to use the Audio Panel with the MAP27 interface, at least one Call key (Send,
Send Pri’ty, or Send Emerg) and a Call Disconnect key must be preprogrammed (using
RDPS). Dynamic Regrouping and SST are available from the audio panel as instant call
pages.
Call setup entries at the audio panel operate on the highlighted channel for the Send, Send
Pri’ty, Send Emerg, and Inst Xmit buttons and on the selected channel for the Xmit button.
Making a Call
An ID entry can be done from the audio panel keypad at any time regardless of the menu
that is currently displayed on the video screen. The format for the ID is a standard 2 to 10
digit MPT1343 form. This ID entry is displayed as it is entered in the lower right quadrant
of the audio panel display (see
). An entry at the audio panel is not shown on the
IntegratorRD.
After the desired ID is entered, press the Send, Send Pri’ty, or Send Emerg button on the
audio panel to initiate a call. The call is made on the currently selected channel.
Terminating a Call
Pressing the Call Disconnect button on the audio panel terminates an active call on the
selected channel.
