Initiating a Diverted Call
When an operator calls a radio that has been diverted to another radio, the call is
automatically routed to the diverted radio. If the channel used to make the call out is
connected to a Motorola radio, the channel icon displays the original called ID. If the
channel is connected to a Tait or M427, the channel icon displays the diverted ID.
MAP27 ID Entry
From the main screen, the MAP27 Call submenu, or the Subscriber List Window, enter the
desired radio ID in standard 2-digit to 10-digit MPT1343 form. Press a MAP27 call button
(Send, Send Pri’ty, Send Emerg) to initiate the call.
Here are some examples of ID entries:
• 2-digit (ID2 only): 21, 25, 34, 90, 91
• 3-digit (ID3 only): 201, 245, 223, 901, 923
• 6-digit (base ident + ID2): 201025, 201025, 200192
• 7-digit (base ident + ID3): 2010205, 2010223, 2001923
• 9-digit( base ident + ID2): 260201026, 260200195
• 10-digit( base ident + ID3): 2602010224, 2602001905
Sending a Status Code
There are two ways to send a status code to another radio:
• From the main screen, enter the status code followed by the radio ID, and then press
Send
. The entry format is as follows:
*0nn*<ID>
where “nn” is a two digit status number between 00 and 31.
An example (send status code “12” to ID 28) is,
*012*28 “Send”
• From the MAP27 Call submenu or the Subscriber List window, enter the radio ID
(either by clicking Subscriber ID or by manually entering the ID), then click the
“Status Select” button. This brings up a Status selection submenu or subwindow,
which shows any programmed MAP27 Status ID aliases (see
). After selecting a Status ID button, or manually entering the 2-digit status code
(1-31), click
Send Status
to send the message. Pressing the
Exit
button returns you
to the main MAP27 Call submenu or to the main Subscriber List window.
