Operation
An excerpt from a typical log file is shown below:
Following is the description for each of the columns:
• Signal Type – RX (incoming call)
• Date Time – date and time the call came in
• Channel Type
• Channel Name/Alias
• Source ID or Alias
• Source Long Alias
• Destination ID or Alias (only for MDC-1200)
• Destination Long Alias (only for MDC-1200)
• Emergency
• Acknowledge
• Call Type – individual, group, status code, or short text message
MAP27 Controls Operation
Receiving a Voice Call
When receiving a voice call, the channel box displays the radio ID making the call; the
receive active indication is activated (see
Figure 40 ). “Indiv” or “Group” is shown in the
Call Progress/Status field. If voice audio is detected, the CALL indicator activates.
These indications show the user that the call has been connected. The calling radio ID
displays as “Unit” plus a two or three digit address (per MPT1343), as the alias string (up
to 10 characters) if the calling radio ID matches an alias entry in the alias table, or
“Interfleet” if the address is not part of the radio’s programmed fleet.
