Button Functions
Last Call Transmit (LAST <type>)
This button operates similarly to an
INSTANT TRANSMIT
button. It transmits on the
channel that received the last call. Three types of last call transmit buttons are available:
• Last Call Any Channel (
LAST XMIT
): This button transmits on the last channel
that received a call
• Last Call Selected Channel (
LAST SEL
): This button transmits on the last selected
channel that received a call
• Last Call Unselected Channel (
LAST UNSEL
): This button transmits on the last
unselected channel that received a call
Console Intercom Call/Talk (<name> CALL/I’COM TALK)
There are two buttons used for the interconsole intercom; the
CONSOLE I'COM CALL
button and the
CONSOLE I'COM TALK
button. Pressing the
CONSOLE I'COM
CALL
button causes the called console to alert its operator by emitting a beep and
displaying “I-CALL”. To talk to the called console, press and hold the
CONSOLE
I'COM TALK
button while speaking into the microphone. The intercom is turned off by
again pressing the
CONSOLE I'COM CALL
button that was recently pressed. While the
intercom is on (monitored) at your console, the green LED on the
CONSOLE I'COM
TALK
button is illuminated. While you are talking over the intercom, the red LED on the
CONSOLE I'COM TALK
button is illuminated. There may be several
CONSOLE
I'COM CALL
buttons but only one
CONSOLE I'COM TALK
button. The
CONSOLE
I'COM CALL
button is usually labeled with the name of the console positions it calls,
such as “Fire Call” or “EMS Call”.
Console Takeover (<name> T’OVER)
The supervisor position has the ability to take over any position by pressing the
CONSOLE TAKEOVER
button for that position. The console position that is taken over
displays “TakeOver” and does not respond to any of its buttons. The console taken over is
released by the supervisor by again pressing the
CONSOLE TAKEOVER
button. While
a
console
is taken over, the red LED on the
CONSOLE
TAKEOVER
button is
illuminated. There may be several
CONSOLE TAKEOVER
buttons, as many as there
are consoles in the system. The
CONSOLE TAKEOVER
button is usually labeled with
the name of the console it takes over, such as
Fire T'over
or
Police T'over
.
ANI Review (ANI REVIEW)
When your console is called from a field unit using ANI (Automatic Number
Identification), its unit number is shown on your time/message display. In addition, the red
LED on the
ANI REVIEW
button illuminates. To service the display and view the next
ANI in sequence (if any), press the
ANI REVIEW
button. When the last ANI has been
reviewed, the red LED on the button turns off.
