The last character in the field indicates scanning is enabled or disabled. When the “S”
appears, scanning is enabled. When an Emergency is declared on the connected radio, an
“E” displays until the “clear” button is pressed. As long as an Emergency condition exists,
the Display blinks in red until the Emergency is cleared.
Channel Check Recall Recorder Functions
Channel Check Functionality
The recorder functions of dual channel cards supplied with the optional Channel Check
recall recorder are controlled from the console. The Channel Check function records both
receive and transmit audio on a per channel basis. Four minutes per channel of recorded
audio is available. The following subsections describe the control of the individual
channel recording functions.
Enabling Channel Check Recording
The
IRR Enable
button toggles the mode of the Channel Check between recording and
off. Either “Rec” or “Off” is displayed in the call field of the channel display. “Off” is
temporarily displayed whereas “Rec” is indicated at all times in the absence of receive
audio. Turning the record function off does not clear any previously recorded messages.
This function is only recommended for supervisor positions.
Playing a Recorded Call
If one or more calls have been received since the Channel Check function was enabled, the
IRR Play
button plays the message recorded on the highlighted channel. The following
display is shown in the call field of the channel:
"IR->2"
In this example, message number 2 is being played. If a call is received or a transmission
initiated while playback is in progress, the playback pauses.
Selecting a Previously Recorded Call
The
IRR Prev
button can be used to “rewind” the recorder to a message prior to the most
recently recorded. The following display is shown in the call field of the channel:
"IR<<1"
