*1. The gear efficiency depends on operating conditions such as the output torque, motor speed, and temperature.
*2. The gear motor output torque is expressed by the following formula: Output Torque = (Servo Motor Output Torque) x (Gearing Ratio) x
(Gearing Efficiency). The values in the table are typical values for the rated torque, rated motor speed, and a surrounding air tempera-
ture of 25°C. They are reference values only.
*3. The output torque of the gear motor is limited by the mechanical limit of the gear head. Operation above this limit could result in prema-
ture failure of the gear motor.

lo ss e s vary a s the condition s for gear motor torque and s peed change. Temperature ri s e can vary ba s ed on
the mechanical inefficiencie s and the heat di ss ipation condition s . For heat di ss ipation condition s , check the
gear and motor temperature s with the actual equipment. If operating temperature s are too high, implement
the following mea s ure s .

Decrea s e the load ratio.

Change the heat di ss ipation condition s .
•
U s e forced-air cooling for the motor with a cooling fan or other mean s .
•
