Steering Spindle
Lubricate the steering spindles seasonally or every
2000 miles with a low-temperature grease. If operating
the snowmobile under severe conditions
in wet snow,
perform lubrication more frequently. Locate the grease
fitting on the spindle housing

Wipe the grease
fitting with a clean shop cloth to remove all traces of
dirt.
Fit the end of a hand-operated
gun onto the
fitting and pump grease into the spindle until it is forced
from the top
bottom of the spindle housing. Re-
move the grease gun from the
and wipe the excess
grease from the fitting and spindle, Repeat the procedure
for the spindle on the other side of the snowmobile.
Slide Suspension
Lubricate tbe slide suspension seasonally or every 2000
miles with a low-tempemwe grease at each of the grease
fittings shown in

The steering relay
(Figure 7) is equipped with a
grease fitting. Wipe the grease fitting with a clean shop
to remove all traces of dirt and debris. Fit the end of a
grease gun onto the grease fitting and pump grease into
steering
arm.
Remove the grease
and wipe away
all excess grease.
