Remove the handlebar cover.

Loosen the handlebar clamp fasteners.

After adjusting the handlebar position for a vertical po-
sition, replace the handlebar clamp. Note that the upper
clamps have
a different thickness at each end. When prop-
erly installed, there will be small gap between the upper
and lower clamps at the front and a wider gap at the rear.

4. Position the handlebar so the ends are an equal dis-
tance from the center.
5. Tighten the front handlebar clamp bolts first, then
tighten the rear bolts. Tighten the clamp bolts to

(1 32 in.-lb.).

Loose grips
cause the operator to lose
control. Always replace damaged or loose
grips before riding.
