Power On the Controller:

19. Power on the controller by pressing the power switch on the front of the controller. The

controller will boot to an inactive state.

20. Visually confirm that the controller has powered up properly by comparing the controller LEDs

with the values given in Figure 6-1 on page 87.

21. In the Physical View, click the controller. It displays in an inactive state. Select Activate

Controller in the Actions pane. A message appears, confirming that you want to activate the
controller. Click Yes.

22. When the controller comes online, verify that all ports are operational in the Physical View.

23. Return the failed part to Xiotech.
