Emprise 7000 Installation and Service Guide 70

5. Pull the power supply out of the chassis by its latch handle.

6. Check the replacement power supply to be sure that the switch is in the off position.

7. Open the latch handle of the replacement power supply.

8. Insert the replacement power supply fully into the ISE chassis and close its latch handle to

seat it.

9. Tighten the latch handle screws finger tight, being careful not to over tighten them.

10. Plug the power cord into the power supply.

11. Press the switch on the power supply to the on position.

12. Observe the LEDs on the new power supply to ensure that the green LED is on and the

amber LED is off.

13. Ensure that the status of the new power supply is operational in the Physical View of ICON

Manger, or from the ISE’s CLI, type

show ps

Caution:

When handling a power supply, be careful not to allow any objects to touch the
pins in the output connector. Contact may bend the pins, causing inoperability
of the component and damage to the ISE chassis when the power supply is
inserted.
