Emprise 7000 Installation and Service Guide 113
Canceling the Upgrade
1. Type
--upgrade cancel
. The system restores the pre-upgrade firmware to both MRCs and
ends the upgrade process.
2. Type
--upgrade status
to monitor the progress as the pre-upgrade firmware is restored. This
process can take several minutes. The progress percentage may linger at 100% and reset to
zero during the progress. When the upgrade status display shows the status
upgrade
canceled
, the restoration process is complete.
Upgrade Completion
The progress of an upgrade can be monitored on the Web Upgrade Software page or with the
seaSH
upgrade --status
commnad. When the upgrade success is confirmed and the commit is
complete, the backup sofware copy is upgraded for both MRCs. This backup sofware upgrade
could take up to fifteen minutes when there is no I/O load. Under heavy I/O load, the backup
upgrade will take longer. The backup software upgrade is transparent to most ISE operations. If
you attempt an operation that conflicts with this upgrade process, the operation is not permitted,
as indicated by a pop-up message.
Confirming the Upgrade
Type the CLI command
show mrc
and confirm both ISEs are running the expected firmware
level.
