4 PRINT CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT
1. Install a new Print Cartridge.
2. Run a Test Print.
Are the vertical streaks gone?
Problem
solved. Go to
Step 5.
5 LASER BEAM PATH INSPECTION
Inspect the laser beam path between the Laser
Assembly and the Drum.
Is the laser beam path free of obstructions?
Go to
Step 6. Remove any
obstructions
form the
laser beam
path.
6 BIAS TRANSFER ROLLER INSPECTION
Inspect the BTR Assembly for contamination and wear.
Is the BTR free of contamination and wear?
Go to
Step 7. Replace the
BTR
Assembly

FUSER INSPECTION
1. Open the Exit Assembly.
Warning: If the printer has been powered ON,
the Fuser will be hot. Use extreme care
when handling the Fuser.
2. Remove the Fuser Assembly.
3. Turn the Fuser Assembly upside down.
4. Rotate the fuser idler gear manually and inspect the
Heat Roller.
5. Turn the Fuser Assembly right side up.
6. Open the fuse jam access cover.
7. Rotate the fuser idler gear manually and inspect the
Pressure Roller.
Are the Heat and Pressure Rollers free of
scratches (damage) and contamination?

page 157 .
Replace the
Fuser
Assembly
[RRP 5.1,
page 288 ].
