Removing and installing lambda probe -

G39-

Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Lambda probe open ring spanner set - 3337-

♦ High-temperature paste - G 052 112 A3-
Removing:
– Remove air filter housing with connection hose.
– Separate electrical connector -1- »black connector« for lamb‐

da probe - G39- .

– Move lambda probe wiring aside.

– Undo bolts of Lambda probe - G39- -1- and remove it.
Installing:
– When reusing Lambda probe, lubricate threads with high tem‐

perature paste - G 052 112 A3- . Paste may not come into

contact with slots on probe body.

– Screw Lambda probe - G39- -1- into exhaust pipe of bank 1.

Identifying feature: Black connector.

Specified torque: 50 Nm
– Restore the original cable routing.
Continue installation in reverse order of removal.
