Installing:
– Clean injector bores in cylinder head thoroughly with a nylon
brush - T10133/4- .
– Renew injector O-ring, support washer, spring element and
combustion chamber seal
.
– Lightly moisten O-rings between injector and fuel rail with
clean engine oil.
Note

Also renew the seal
cylinders 1, 3 and 5.

The combustion chamber seal (Teflon) on the injector must
not be oiled or greased.
– Push injector into cylinder head bore as far as it will go by
hand. Do not press on spring element when doing this.
Caution
The injectors must not be pulled into their seat with the fuel rail
bolts. Otherwise the spring element will be damaged.
– Ensure injectors are correctly seated and positioned in cylin‐
der head.
Injectors for cylinders 1, 3 and 5
– Install lower part of intake manifold with fuel rail
Injectors for cylinders 2, 4 and 6
– Installing fuel rail
Continuation for all cylinders
– Check spring elements, they must not be pushed »flat«
-arrows- and caught on shoulder.
– Install upper part of intake manifold
– Vehicles from June 2013 onwards: Deleting injector’s adap‐
