♦ Torque wrench - V.A.G 1331-
♦ Locking fluid - D 154 100 A1-
Procedure
The contact surface of the crankshaft/sender wheel must be free
of oil and grease.
Note
♦
The second time the bolts are tightened, the contact points in
the sender wheel for the countersunk heads are deformed so
far that the bolt heads seat on the crankshaft -3-, -arrows- and
the sender wheel is »loose« under the bolts.
♦ The sender wheel can only be installed in one position, the
holes are offset.
– Apply thin coating of locking fluid - D 154 100 A1- to crankshaft/
sender contact surface for additional adhesion.
– Ensure during installation that marking »VR6« -arrow- is posi‐
tioned over single threaded bore.
– First, gently hand-tighten all new securing bolts.
