– Tighten bolt -1- for guide rail.

– Insert inlet camshaft adjuster »24E« into timing chain in such

a way that the copper-coloured chain link is aligned with the

marking on the camshaft adjuster. Bolt camshaft adjuster onto

camshaft and tighten bolt hand-tight.

– Insert exhaust camshaft adjuster »32A« into timing chain in

such a way that copper-coloured chain link is aligned with

marking on camshaft adjuster. Bolt camshaft adjuster onto

camshaft and tighten bolt hand-tight.

– Check position of copper coloured chain links to adjustment

markings.

Note

The copper coloured chain links no longer align with the adjust‐

ment markings once the crankshaft has been turned.
