The Test Settings… button verifies that your settings are working properly. If
an error is returned, it will indicate which field is incorrect. The list at the bottom
of the screen gives the server names of some popular mail services and some
suggestions on what your service might use if not listed here.
The username field is sometimes your complete email address,
sometimes is your email address minus everything from the ‘@’ sign
to the end and sometimes is not related to your email address at all.
Consult your service provider for the correct configuration information.
Many service providers make this information available on their
website.
Proxy Settings Setup
After you install the Monitor and setup a user, you may see an error message that
describes a problem with the proxy or reverse proxy. This indicates that the Monitor
wasn’t able to access the Internet because it didn’t have the proper credentials
required by a proxy machine. In this case, you need to tell the Monitor about the
proxy by following the directions below.
Right-click the Wireless Sync icon in the system tray at the bottom of your
screen.
Select Proxy Setup.
Enter in the required information. If you are unsure of what data you should
enter, contact your IT department.
