4. To use a static IP address, select Static IP address and type the following
information:

IP Address – the IP address that InterScan Gateway Security Appliance
uses
• Netmask - Required
• Gateway - Required
• DNS Server 1 - primary - Required
• DNS Server 2 - secondary - Optional
5. Click Save .

Administration > IP Address Settings – Static Routes
Static routes are special routes that the network administrator manually enters into
the InterScan Gateway Security Appliance configuration. Static routes help InterScan
Gateway Security Appliance route traffic to clients or segments within the protected
network. The IP Address Settings - Static Routes screen displays a list of InterScan
Gateway Security Appliance static routes. From the Static Routes screen,
administrators can add, delete, or modify static routes.
