Preliminary Tasks
The InterScan Gateway Security Appliance is designed to provide good default pro-
tection from the moment you install it on your network. After installation, however,
you should perform a number of tasks to ensure that everything is set up and working
optimally and that you are making full use of its many features. Following is a list of
preliminary tasks that you can perform using the appliance Web console and the chap-
ters in which you can find descriptions of those functions and settings:
