E. Laser Pointer Removal and Installation
Figure 50 - Laser Pointer Installation
(1) Installation procedure.
(a) Insert the laser pointer (Figure 50, item 1) in the laser pointer housing (item 7).
(b) Tighten the retaining nut (Figure 50, item 2).
(c) Fasten the laser pointer cable connector (Figure 50, item 4) to the rear case connection point
(item 6).
(2) Removal procedure.
(a) Disconnect the laser pointer cable from the rear case connection (Figure 50, item 6).
(b) Unscrew the retaining nut (Figure 50, item 2).
(c) Remove the laser pointer (Figure 50, item 1) from the laser pointer housing (item 7).
NOTE: If the laser pointer cable has not been installed, ensure the protective cover
(400312) is installed with Loctite 222 applied to the rear case connection
(Figure 50, item 6).
