I. Trakka Control Panel Operating Modes
Table 9 - TCP Modes of Operation
Mode
Description
POSTing
(Initialising)
The searchlight has powered up and is performing the internal self-test. The
TCP will display the POST in progress message and also the current part
number and software version installed.
All switch inputs will be inactive with the exception of the LAMP TEST function
(DIM switch alternative mode) and SYS.
At the completion of the POST (initialising sequence) the bottom line will be
blank (unless an error occurred during POST) and the current filter number will
display (normally filter 1). If not already in the STOW position the searchlight will
move to this position and enter the STOWED mode.
STOWED
The searchlight will be in the stow position and the lamp will be off.
The following switches/alternative functions will be active:
S
DEPLOY
S
PILOT/CO-PILOT/CREW
S
SYSTEM
S
LAMP TEST
The following LED Annunciators will be active
S
IR MODE LED
S
STOW LED – On
S
DIM LED – will indicate if searchlight was dimmed prior to turning off
DEPLOYED
The searchlight will be ready for use, all front switch functions are active.
Upon initially selecting DEPLOY, the searchlight will move to the DEPLOY
position. If the searchlight is slewed whilst moving to the deploy position it will
immediately respond and will cease moving to the DEPLOY position.
Filter Selection
When a different filter position is selected, the selected filter will be displayed
after the currently engaged filter with the “
→”
character between them.
Eg F1
→
F4. This indicates that the current engaged filter is #1 and that the filter
#4 has been selected. While the filter wheel rotates to the new position the
→
remains. At the completion of the filter change the display will show F4 to
indicate that filter #4 is now the currently engaged filter.
