D. Dynamic Leg Hatch Assembly Removal and Installation

(1) Removing the dynamic leg hatch assembly.
(a) Remove the machine screw (Figure 49, item 2) (109820).
(b) Remove the leg hatch assembly (Figure 49, item 3) (033033) by grasping the bottom edge of
the hatch and pull it slightly outward while at the same time pulling the hatch straight down.
NOTE: Using this method prevents the top locking hook (Figure 49, item 1) from
being broken as a result of pulling the latch straight out from the leg.
(2) Installing the dynamic leg hatch assembly.
(a) Ensure the rubber seal (V740) is undamaged before fitting the leg hatch assembly. Replace if
necessary.
(b) Hold the leg hatch assembly (Figure 49, item 3) (033033) at a slight angle out from the
dynamic leg and push the hatch upwards to insert the top locking hook (item 1) behind the
upper lip of the leg hatch opening.
(c) Press the bottom section of the leg hatch into position so the two side hooks engage the lip
on each side of the leg hatch opening.
(d) Refit the machine screw (Figure 49, item 2) and nylon washer. Tighten to 1.0 ± 0.1 Nm.
(3) Option for operation in salt laden and heavily corrosive atmosphere.
(a) Apply a thin bead of SLS100 Sealer Adhesive
or equivalent
along the join of the hatch
and dynamic leg (Figure 49, item 4).
NOTE: This is to be applied only after the hatch has been fitted to the dynamic leg
and is at the discretion of the operator as Trakka Corp does not apply this
product during manufacture. Black sealer product number is SLS100-305-
BST.
(b) The seal may be broken by the use of a sharp blade inserted along the full length of the join.
