H. Lamp Assembly Inspection

(1) Remove the lamp assembly in accordance with Chapter 5, G.
(2) Lamp Terminal
(a) Ensure the ignitor leads are not loose on the lamp terminals (item 2).
(3) Zoom lens drive rod (item 13 and item 14)
(a) Ensure the two grub screws securing the zoom lens drive rod (Pt 1 & Pt 2) are tight by visual
inspection of witness marks.
(4) Filter motor gear (item 10)
(a) Ensure the gear is not loose on the motor shaft.
(b) Check that no wear is evident on the gear.
(c) Ensure the motor gear and saddle assembly are securely in place on the filter plate.
(5) Zoom motor gear (item 4)
(a) Ensure the gear is not loose on the motor shaft.
(b) Check that no wear is evident on the gear teeth.
(c) Ensure the motor saddle is locked in place on the aperture plate.
