2.2.3 Setting the System Time
Follow these steps and choose one method to set the system time:
Step 1
configure
Enter global configuration mode.
Step 2
Use the following command to set the system time manually:
system-time manual
time
Configure the system time manually.
time
: Specify the date and time manually in the format of MM/DD/YYYY-HH:MM:SS. The valid
value of the year ranges from 2000 to 2037.
Use the following command to set the system time by getting time from the NTP server:
system-time ntp {
timezone
} {
ntp-server
} {
backup-ntp-server
} {
fetching-rate
}
Configure the time zone and the NTP server to get time from the NTP server.
Ensure the NTP
server is accessible. If the NTP server is on the Internet, connect the switch to the Internet first.
timezone
: Enter your local time-zone, which ranges from UTC-12:00 to UTC+13:00.
