Depending on the application, slightly increased abrasion may be
observed with normal-phase piston seals. Therefore, consider
testing the static mixer for permeability at shorter intervals (see
Testing the Static Mixer for Permeability (
).
Testing the Pump for Leakage
Follow the instructions in
Testing the Pump for Leakage (General Test)
. With one exception, all values in the procedure that are
specific for the VC‑pump equally apply to the modified VC‑pump.
Exception
When the pressure is 55 MPa, apply the flow indicated in the table and
proceed with observing the pressure. The pressure should increase or
remain constant for a minimum of 1 minute. If you observe a drop in
pressure, find and eliminate the cause for the leak as appropriate.
