9.4.4 PID search
PID search
is available so that you can search for a specific program.
>
You can run a PID search by calling up Manual search and then entering the channel
frequency, the symbol rate and the modulation as described in Section 9.4.3.
>
Press the
yellow PID search
control key afterwards.
Search mode selection will now be replaced by the PID number input window.
>
Use the arrow keys to highlight the
PCR PID
,
Audio PID
and
Video PID
columns
and then use the
numerical keypad
to enter the relevant numbers.
Starting a search
>
Use the
up/down arrow keys
to highlight the
Start search
line.
>
Now press the
OK
key to start the search.
Take note of any message windows that are dislayed on the screen.
>
You can abort the search run by pressing the
red
control key.
9.4.5 During the search
The search run through the channels can be watched on the screen.
The following will be displayed: The frequency at which the search is taking place (1), the
number of programs that have already bveen found (2), the last program that was found (3)
as well as the complete search progress (4) and the channels that are being searching (5).
9.4.6 After the search run
A message will be displayed on screen after the search displaying information on how many
programs have been found by your digital receiver, hoiw many new ones have been added
and how many are encoded. Additional information will also be displayed asking you, if you
want to automatically enter them into the TV or radio lists and automatically sort or manually
sort them.
Sort automatically
The programs found are sorted into the main favourites list with the help of a pre-program
list. The program sequence wiull be sorted as per the audio language set in Section 6.3.2
and the country that was set in Section 6.2.2.
Add automatically
The newly found programs are added to the end of the main favourites list, but are unsorted.
Sort TV manually / Sort radio manually
This takes you directly to the TV list management or the radio list management menus. Edit
these lists as described in Section 9.1 of the operating manual.
Back
The newly found programs will not be imported into the favourites list, but only into the com-
plete list.
