Selecting files/directories
Use this function to highlight several files or directories and copy, move or delete them toget-
her afterwards. These files or directories do not have to be listed consecutively.
>
Press the
blue
Function
control key
to open the selection window.
>
Use the
up/down arrow keys
to highlight the
Select
entry and press
OK
to con-
firm.
>
Now use the
arrow keys
to highlight a file/directory that you want to select and then
press the
yellow Select
control key.
>
Highlight the required files as described above and then press the
blue
Function
control key
once again.
>
Use the
arrow keys
to highlight the
Copy
entry and then press
OK
to confirm.
>
Now press the
yellow
control key to copy the selected files/directory.
8.3.2.2 Moving
Use the move function to move the highlighted file or directory from the source medium (e.g.
USB device over to the target medium (e.g. hard disk). You will find that the moved file or
directory appears on the target medium afterwards.
>
Use the
up/down arrow keys
to highlight the file or directory that you want to
move.
>
Press the
blue
Function
control key
to open the function window.
>
Use the
up/down arrow keys
to highlight the
Move
line and the press
OK
to
confirm.
>
Now press the
yellow Move
control key to move the highlighted file or directory.
>
You can move several files simultaneously by
highlighting them as described previously in
Block marking
or in
Select files/direc-
tory
.
8.3.2.3 Deleting
Proceed as follows to delete files or a directory:
>
Use the
up/down arrow keys
to highlight the files or the directory that you want to
delete.
>
Press the
blue
Function
control key
to open a window displaying the available
functions.
>
Use the
up/down arrow keys
to highlight the
Delete
line and then press
OK
to
confirm.
>
Now press the
yellow Delete
control key to delete the highlighted file or directory.
You will be asked, if you really want to delete the selected data.
>
Use the
left/right arrow keys
to highlight the
Yes
box and the press
OK
to con-
firm.
The data will now be deleted.
>
Several files can be deleted simultaneously by highlighting them as described pre-
viously in
Block marking
or in
Select files/directory
.
