1. Hard disk Timer
This function will switch your digital receiver on and off at the selected times to record the
program on the hard disk during your absence.
The unit, which has been switched on by the hard disk Timer , is indicated by “
•
PVR Timer”
being displayed on the screen.
Certain remote control functions (e.g. calling up the main menus) are now deactivated. A
clock symbol is displayed on the screen to indicate that the Timer is active in standby mode.
2. Video recorder Timer
The video recorder Timer will switch your digital receiver on and off, so that the selected pro-
gram can be recorded by an external unit, e.g. a video cassette recorder, during your absen-
ce. Please note that you must also program your video recorder, so that it will record the’pro-
gram.
If the set was activated by the timer of the video recorder, this is shown as the message
“
•
VCR Timer” in the display. Certain remote control functions (e.g. calling up the main
menus) are now deactivated. A clock symbol is displayed on the screen to indicate that the
Timer is active in standby mode.
3. Channel change Timer
If your unit is switched to standard operation, it will switch over to the programd program
location when the appropriate time is reached.
The unit can be used without any restrictions in this mode as compared to the hard disk or
video recorder Timer modes, but it will not be switched on when the program starts or swit-
ched off when it ends.
This type of Timer merely changes the program.
8.1.2.1 Manually programing the Timer

Call up the
main menu
by pressing the
menu
key.

The
Timer management line can be marked
using the
up/down arrow
keys
.
>
Press the
OK
key to confirm.
The
Timer management menu will be displayed
.
>
Use the
up/down arrow keys
to select the Timer type that you want to program.
>
Press the
OK
to jump to the input window for programing a new Timer event.
Proceed as follows to program:

Use the
arrow keys
to mark the upper menu line .
>
Press the
OK
key.
>
Use the
up/down arrow keys
to select the required source (
TV
or
Radio
) from
the opened selection window.
>
Press
OK
to confirm.
Now, depending on the previously carried out setting, the TV-channel or the radio sta-
tion list will be displayed.
>
Now use the
arrow keys
to mark the program that you require.
>
Use the
up/down arrow keys
to move the marker through the list one line at a
time.
