Section 2 Basic Operations

Set the SCSI ID switch on the rear of the printer.

- The ID number must be unique in the SCSI chain. (Initial

setting: 4)

SCSI ID switch

Set the SCSI ID number with a small
slotted screwdriver. (Initial ID value: 4)

Connect a SCSI cable to either of the SCSI connectors

on the rear of the printer.

Connecting to a Computer

NOTE

(It can be connected to either of two SCSI
connectors.)

NOTE

Use a dedicated SCSI cable (68-68-pin, 6 m) or optional

SCSI cable (68-68-pin, 9m).

If any other cable is used, the radio wave level may

increase, in particularly the printer might not satisfy FCC

and CE regulations.
