Installation

This section describes installation of the ET200M Marshalled Termination

Assemblies. Topics include: installation considerations and mechanical and

electrical installation.

This equipment is suitable for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D OR non-

hazardous locations only. Combinations of equipment in your system are subject to

investigation by the local Authority having jurisdiction at the time of installation.

Installations shall comply with the latest edition of the manufacturer’s instruction manual.

Note

•

The installation shall comply with the relevant requirements of the National

Electrical

Code

(ANSI/NFPA 70) and all other applicable construction and

electrical codes.

•

For Class I, Div 2 locations, power, input and output (I/O) wiring must be in

accordance with Class I, Div. 2 wiring methods per Article 501-10B of the

National Electrical Code.

•

Refer to Use of subassemblies/modules in a Zone 2 Hazardous Area Product

Information document (19692172) for information on installations in hazardous

locations.

•

Tampering and replacement with non-factory components may adversely

affect the safe use of the system.

Refer to the Preface for Agency Approvals as necessary. Use of the equipment in a
