9.4.2.4 | Lext/Rext Routing
(ONLY available with 3.1 and 5.1 Surround modes with the Program Meter combo box set to PPM)
very fast by just pressing the EX key without having to select a
new Sub Preset. The Lext/Rext Routing section offers indivi-
dual routing and peakmeter settings for this external signal.
In channel modes 3.1 and 5.1, free internal channels are
available for Metering an external two channel signal using
the
EX key. In this way, external stereo signals can be checked
• Peakmeter Settings
With the button Peakmeter Settings , a new menu page
is opened to confi gure the individual appearance of the
peakmeter for the
Lext/Rext section.
NOTE - The parameters on this menu page are
also found when selecting the Channel Group buttons
on the Peakmeter Settings menu page for the Moni-
toring Routing section and the Channel Group button
on the Two Channel Downmix Settings menu page of
the Downmix Routing section. For this reason, the peak-
meter parameters on these menu pages are described
together in the
Peakmeter parameters chapter further
below.
• Source
All physical input connectors plus the decoder output (if
enabled, D and SD versions) are available as the
Lext/
Rext input source. Options: Analog 1 , Analog 2 , Digital 3 ,
Digital 4 , SDI (if fi tted, S and SD versions), Decoder (if
enabled, D and SD versions).
NOTE - The output signal of the decoder is only se-
lectable if the decoder was enabled in the Decoder section.

These combo boxes are used to assign the channels of
the selected signal source (see above) to the internal
channels
Lext and Rext .
NOTE - Please use the Display Mode for exter-
nal Monitoring option on the Key Settings menu page
to select the display mode used after pressing the EX
button/key.
